From Escargot to Caviar: A Palm Beach Dining Itinerary

Palm Beach doesn’t do casual. Even lunch feels like a production, and dinner is a performance you don’t want to miss. Which is why the Second Husband itinerary is always simple — start with escargot, end with caviar.

Lunch Like a Parisian

At La Goulue, noon feels like midnight in Paris. Escargot arrives drenched in garlic butter, martinis land on the table before the ice has even settled, and the bread basket disappears far too quickly. The air hums with a mix of French nonchalance and Palm Beach polish — striped plates, crisp linen, and a guest list to die for.

This is not a working lunch…that is a two-martini, order-an-extra-round of bread (best bread on the island) kind of lunch the sort where time bends, and the afternoon meetings suddenly don’t matter.

When the sun slips, the scene shifts. Dinner at The Colony is the glamorous counterpoint to the French bistro charm of the day. Pouilly-Fuissé shimmers under woven lampshades, caviar tins rest on ice like crown jewels, and dessert arrives in cut-glass bowls jeweled with berries.
